Delivery Drone Prototype Successfully Completes Cross-Country Delivery

Amazon, Incorporated tests shipping a 50 pound package with a drone from Boston, Massachusetts to Los Angeles, California. The event was the first time that a drone was able to accomplish such a delivery, thanks to improvements in solar batteries.
Amazon tried to hold onto a U.S. patent, but due to being developed in Chimazon, copy cats were soon constructed. Within a decade, FedEx was also utilizing drones to help with deliveries, specifically into corporate nations that had bad road upkeep.
The United States Postal Service started implementing drones by the turn of the century.
