Miradel (Sailor's Folly)
Miradel, more commonly known as Sailor's Folly, was a large city that grew to prominence after the creation of the Godscar.
The town began as a sleepy ranching community called "Belle" after the wife of its founder. After the formation of the Godscar, the settlement became extremely important due to its location at the tip of the giant ravine, which ended only a few hundred meters from the settlement's borders at that time. The settlement was also renamed "Miradel" in honor of the goddess Miranee, who was thought to have largely eliminated Akathon while saving the settlement in the process. The town grew rapidly after this, becoming a city, and earned the nickname "Sailor's Folly" due to the large number of ships that became wrecked at the Godscar's end.

Demographics
The city was composed mostly of Alois humans. Due to its status as a hub of trade, however, it also housed Trebai humans as well as gnomes, halflings, and high elves.
Government
Miradel was ruled by a regional monarch. By the time of the Fifth Era, House Alard ruled the city as well as the surrounding lands, though influence from other noble houses often made it difficult to enact policy.
Geography
Miradel sat at the end of the Godscar, a massive ravine created by a war between Gods. The River of the Divines dropped off at this ravine, providing the town with fresh water, and the surrounding land was composed mostly of rolling hills.
Natural Resources
Miradel was a hub of the cattle trade, its surrounding lands excellent for grazing. In addition, several mining operations took advantage of the exposed rock of the Godscar, though these mines largely dried up by the time of the Fifth Era.
