Leopold of Mejethko

Leopold of Mejethko was a renowned Trebai healer and an ancient authority of all matters relating to health. He published several revolutionary technical manuals that detailed, among other things, documentations of different illnesses, basic surgical techniques, and recommendations for healthy habits.

Born around 5330, during the latter part of the First Era, Leopold was a member of the royal houses that ruled the Trebai province of Mejethko at the time. As a child, Leopold was fascinated with the horses of the royal stables, spending hours assisting or watching the local stableworkers. Studying how the horses were kept healthy spurred his love of medical science early on. Additionally, he struggled with gender dysphoria, being perceived as female despite knowing internally he was a boy. Thus, he was constantly thinking up ways he could make his body more masculine. When he was around eighteen years old, he used a combination of light magic and medical science to undergo transition into a male body. He also changed his name to "Leopold."   Feeling much more comfortable with himself, Leopold became well known among Mejethko for his work in medicine. He published his first work, Corpus Divinus, shortly before his twenty-first birthday.    From that point on, Leopold built a famous career not only as a skilled physician of the Mejethko nobility, but also as an expert authority and pioneer in medical science. He was well-known especially near the end of his life for combining magical techniques with traditional methods to deliver better results. He also worked with the legendary Unknown Orator on his work De Corpo.   In his thirties, Leopold married and had three children.   True to form, Leopold lived a long life, dying at the ripe old age of ninety-two. His death was mourned across Mejethko and even in other provinces.
