Ivona I
"Behold, First Allegiant Ivona, shimmering before you. She is your mother. She is your queen. She is the ruler of all the Trebai." - Introduction at the Redoran Festival of HarvestFredene Thitrud Ivona Miroslav, known widely as Ivona I, was First Allegiant of Etermel of the Trebai Ascendancy who ruled for over thirty years. A cunning tactician, Ivona rose to the rank of Chief Admiral of the High Kingdom of Atla Vera during the Twenty-Year War and was responsible for many naval victories. When the war ended, she became the ruler of the Trebai Ascendancy after the death of generals Zeredeus Zeno and Reymond I.
Early Life
Ivona was born in 7994, a daughter of House Miroslav, an ancient noble family that historically controlled the island province of Gercone Pellatra ("Sacred Coast" in Ancient Trebai). Ivona's family had a history of rearing great sea commanders, and from a young age, Ivona desired to continue this legacy. According to legend, Ivona was pushed overboard by a familial enemy at the age of four while she was at sea, far from the island or the mainland. Unable to find her, her family mourned her death until three days later, when she supposedly turned up in the castle's great hall, soaking wet but unharmed, having swam back all by herself. This story was thought to be true by some, and thought to be propaganda by others. Ivona rose to success at the esteemed Naval Academy of the Sacred Coast, thanks to her unrelenting work ethic, technical ability, and royal background. As early as when she was a teenager, Ivona displayed a mastery of tactical warfare, devising complex and ingenious fleet formations, maneuvers, and strategies. The Twenty-Year War
