The Continent of Tal'Dorei (825 PD)

825 PD (Post-Divergence)

Created by

The legendary setting of the first campaign of Critical Role, created by the legendary Matt Mercer! But expanded upon and detailed with new locations and points of interest not in the Campaign Guide to Tal'Dorei. This setting is specifically designed to fit in-between the two campaigns, in 825 Post-Divergence, when the Republic of Tal'Dorei is on the rise. No longer is there an economic depression, as in the declining days of the Realm of Tal'Dorei, before the dragons of the Chroma Conclave laid waste to Emon and killed the last Sovereign. The population is on the rise, democracy is felt by the citizens of this nation, and new opportunities-and threats-await for adventurers who want to see it all! But be wary, for from the south, the grim threat of the Iron Authority begins to be whispered about by the politicians of Emon, worried about among the members of the Tal'Dorei Council. What course will this continent take? What will this vestige of society, wilderness, and wonder in Exandria resemble in this new age?   Note: The new locations and places in this setting are inspired by the amazing map by u/thetuque on Reddit, whose original maps are included in this setting. I take no credit for the maps themselves. The link to original post is here: https://www.reddit.com/r/criticalrole/comments/ai6hlf/no_spoilers_atlas_of_exandria_taldorei/)   (Subnote: The dutiful monks of the Cobalt Soul are working to keep all information on Tal'Dorei as of the year 825 PD accurate, but mistakes may be made. Even Ioun cannot grant the power to preserve knowledge without mistakes!)
