The Wexvale Tree Tome
This is another tome detailing findings about the green dimension, it's magic and it's workings.
This book is in very rough shape, as this book was used to transfer knowledge between different cells dealing with the green dimension. It once was a book with dark leather covers and a tree ornament on each side of the cover, but these have been lost over the time and the only remainder left is a discoloration on the cover. And that's where the leather color is left, to be precise. The back cover of the book looks like it was torn to shreds, and someone attempted to fix this as well as possible by glueing a wooden plate onto the cover to stabilize it. The front cover is riddled with tears and holes, and it is straight up falling apart if the book is handled without exceptional care. Some of the larger tears in the cover have been covered and glued over with pieces of cloth.
The inside of this book are a serious disaster regarding organization and structure. Some pages show illustrations, but without legend, some pages have entries looking like a legend to an illustration, but there is no reference what illustration it is for. Other pages have text written on them in one language, and annotations in several other languages. On other pages, text is chaotically written on top of other text in different colors, orientations and languages. Other pages have no resemblence of sentences at all.
The book is written in several different languages, old and modern french, old an modern english, as well as middle german have been identified. Parts look like old norse, and some runes are suspected to be celtic. There are however one or two languages that are entirely unknown.
History
TODO: how did it get there?!
Rediscovery
Elias Baker and Edgar Harltwood had been working on storm damage in the forest - clearing out forest roads from fallen trees and branches to make the Vale accessible for other rescue forces and workers again. While doing this, they found a large oak that had fallen over and they started pulling the oak away from the road with a tractor. This caused a huge branch to break away from the oak, and the tree split. Inside this tree, there was a metal box, which contained several of the seeds for the flowers of power, as well as this tome. It has mostly survived in some condition, because the metal box provided a solid seal against the elements.
