A member of the wealthy Fitzcharles family, Kairus is a young tiefling who was sent to university to study business as he would inherit the family business one day. He's never had to work a day in his life, and he wasn't about to start in college, so to complete his schoolwork, Kairus would pay his classmates to do it for him. This didn't work too well, as he thought their work was subpar, so he would relentlessly berate the students he paid that they need to produce better work. Fed up with Kairus's shenanigans, the students started reporting the cheating to administration, ultimately leading to Kairus's expulsion from university. After suffering such a humiliation, Kairus's family cut him off from their wealth to teach him a lesson. Now penniless and unprepared for living in the world on his own, Kairus enrolled at Oakcrest Community College.
