Get Started

First Steps

- Make sure you read and understand the rules
- Create your characters following our character creation guidelines
- If you want to discuss or brainstorm your character concept, you can bring your ideas and questions regarding that into the "Character Discussion" thread in the server
- Be sure that the gear you would like to be equipped is marked equipped on your sheet, and spells are prepped.
- Import your character via !import <urlofyoursheet>. So, for example: !import https://www.dndbeyond.com/characters/118752890
- Make sure, if you are using D&D Beyond, that your character sheet is set to public! Once you are approved, you’ll get pinged by a GM, so please be patient.
- Change your server profile name on Discord to contain your Character name, race, class, and level. These things must be in your name.
- Set up your sheet’s automations with the following commands, in the bot spam channels:
-Use the command !update to pull in any changes you may have made to your character sheet.
-Use the command !bag to initialize your bag and !bag ? for assistance.
1. To create a bag named "Equipment", use !bag $ "Equipment"
2. To only open one bag when you add/remove items do !bag open one
3. You can quickly add all your equipment in one go with the !qb command. Use !help qb to get instructions on how to do so!
- Use the command !coins to initialize your coin pouch.
- Use the command !coins remove_old to sync up with the new coins alias.
- For anyone who wants to see their money in only terms of gold, follow these steps:
1. Go to a bot spam channel and type !csettings
2. Click Cosmetic Settings
3. Click Toggle Compact Coin Display
4. Exit out
- To sync your character level to your sheet, use !level. This also sets up your hit dice for short rests.
- Find a list of commands to subscribe to all sourcebooks in the server's "Get Started" channel
- If you do not have the sourcebooks bought on DnDBeyond, but would still like to access the spells. Follow these steps:
1. Do !tome sub https://avrae.io/homebrew/spells/617b5fe03252c1a86b7104dc
2. Then !tome Vixere's Vagabond Vexes to set it as your active tome
- Set up a profile for your character in the Character Profiles forum.
- Once you've completed all of these steps, you can begin your adventure!
