The Last Gate

In the wild days after the banishment of the Fae and Demons, as the new Free Peoples of Aeridos spread out and settled across what was still called the Ailderlunds, adopted homelands began to draw territory lines and infant kingdoms. Notably, the orcs, who were adverse to the idea of dominion over land have remained relatively nomadic. This lack of a spiritual home oil for the orcs has lead to them keeping some of the most detailed writings and histories from the early years of Aeridos. The other oddity during these years of settlement is the choice of the human leaders to declare the Chamber of the Final Gate the ‘mother settlement’ for humans. They erected no buildings and left only a marker written in one of the old human scripts: “we first stood free here”.
