Introduction

Welcome to the Season of Adventure, a high fantasy realm steeped in myth, magic, and unrelenting heroism.

At the heart of this enchanted world stands the Grey Citadel, a luminous bastion of hope rising above storm-tossed plains and mist-wreathed valleys. Within its gleaming walls, King Zagyg—a benevolent and enigmatic ruler with a mind as sharp as his sword—guides a diverse people through the chaos of an age marked by shadow and strife.

Zagyg is no ordinary monarch. Once a wandering trickster-sage, he ascended to kingship by uniting fractured baronies and forging ancient alliances with druids, skyships, and the elemental courts. His rule is just, but the threats he faces are titanic.

To the north festers the malevolent domain of Iuz, a half-demon tyrant whose warped ambition knows no bounds. Iuz’s armies of corrupted beasts, fanatical zealots, and undead warlords march under banners stitched with blood, seeking to bend all free lands to his cruel will. His whispers sow dissent, and his sorcery blights the land.

But worse still is the spectral dread of the Necropolis, a cursed city that shifts through the mists between worlds. There, the Lich-Lords plot the end of time itself, commanding legions of bone and fire, seeking to draw all life into cold, eternal silence. The Necropolis pulses with forgotten power, guarded by ancient wards and deeper horrors.

Between these terrors, the Grey Citadel stands defiant. Its knights ride griffons across the skies. Its spellweavers shape storms and starlight. Heroes—some chosen, others born from unlikely beginnings—rise in every season to tip the scales of fate.
