Basic Information

Anatomy

Blastonian bodies are semi-cybernetic humanoids with proportions similar to other humanoid species. While unarmored, their skin is a soft, light grey with skin-like synthetic texture. Visible on their chest are three circular engines, which act as the hearts of the Blastonian species. These hearts can take on the color of a Blastonian's soul. Rather than normal hair or fur, Blastonians have coils, wires, or similarly shaped technology as a replacement for their hair.   Blastonians have specially designed ports all over their body which can only interface with Armor designed for Blastonians. Instead of conventional clothing, Blastonians wear these special pieces of armor which interface directly with their bodily systems, becoming in essence a second skin they wear that is connected to their nervous system.   These armors can provide a variety of benefits, such as the ability to fly, breath underwater or in a vacuum, or fire focused laser blasts, as the most common chosen upgrades.

Genetics and Reproduction

Although Blastonians are semi-robotic, they are still technically mammalian, and as such reproduce sexually and have live birth.

Ecology and Habitats

Blastonians prefer to live in places that are highly defensible and difficult to reach without Blastonian technology. Examples are remote islands, or remote planets and satellites. Some may also prefer to live underwater, or in locations that can only be reached underwater, such as ocean caverns or buildings made at the bottom of the ocean.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Blastonians are omnivores at birth, but are able to augment their biological needs thanks to their armor. Blastonians can live without any other nourishment so long as their hearts remained power through any means. Devices that are able to convert specific resources, such as oil or electricity, into fuel for their hearts are commonly seen among Blastonians.

History

The original species which Blastonians evolved from had very little technological achievements to speak of. Their obsession with strength and war drove them to fight one another, and when that was not enough, they sought out the most dangerous creatures they could find to wage war against. This species would take whatever weaponry they could find among the remains of their defeated adversaries, using them to increase their own military strength. This process of destruction and adoption continued age after age, the warmongering species battling and enhancing their bodies and strategies until they inevitably became the perfect war machine: Blastonian.   Upon their creation, Blastonians continued their lineage of destruction, seeking out the most powerful beasts they could find in the Universe, until they finally clashed against one of the most fearsome species at the time, The Dragoons. When The Dragoons were thoroughly wiped out and their hardened bones forged into honorary armor, the Blastonians realized they had defeated the only beings stronger than them. With their ultimate purpose accomplished, the Blastonians settled on the planet Tezanu, claiming one of the oceans as their territory. As they saw that no other species could hope to equal them in firepower, Blastonians took on business with their neighbors, as they saw little need to fight beings that would certainly lose.   During this stage the Blastonian Kingdom saw relative peace compared to their bloodied history, becoming a frugal source of business with their neighbors for many generations, and in particular their underwater counterparts, the Quopi.   Despite the many ages of relative peace, however, there was a small sect of Blastonians who longed for the glory of waging war against the Universe once again. Tensions resulted in an inevitable civil war in which defectors fled the planet entirely, seeking conquest in another galaxy, and eventually colonizing a planet in the Trilian Galaxy.   The most recent King of of the Tezan Blastonians, Khorga Torh, was overthrown by his son, and sent into exile.
