Speedia Speedwagons

The Speedia Speedwagons (commonly known simply as the Speedwagons) are a violent hot-rodding club with origins in Velocitron's capital of Speedia. A group of Velocitronian refugees immigrated to the California/Nevada border area in 2019, forming an unchartered "colony" called New Speedia. These asylum seekers sought to evade the presence of Imperial rule for one reason or another, and many among their number were members of the Speedwagons. When Mission City was formally established, the "colony" was disbanded, and the settlers fled, becoming nomads and bandits under the command of the Speedwagons. The Speedwagons traditionally are organized, with ventures in drug running and theft, but being cut loose from the organization and entrusted with leadership of the displaced colonists has made the earthbound Speedwagons mad with power. They've formed an almost cult-like mentality and culture, believing that their current position is an opportunity to create a "Society of Speed" on Earth.
