Hei Lian
Chinese aristocrat born in the early 1800s. Kidnapped by Davidon, she turned to opium to kill the pain of her imprisonment. Rescued by the Silver Ghost (and chastised for her cowardice in retreating into addiction) she returned to her own time and learned magic and herb lore that have enabled her to break her own and others’ addictions, and extend her lifespan by over 100 years.
Now living in San Francisco, she works with her Black Lotus Tong to destroy other tongs involved in drug dealing. Her wisdom and abilities as a magician and healer have made her a vital ally for the Silver Ghost and others.
