Zero Sum
To Zero Sum, sometimes referred to as "zeroing out", is a term used to describe an anti-existence in the Infinity Petal, where a person, place, or object falls out of the mind of the Godhead. Rather than just disappear, it as if the center of the effect never existed, as even Walkers forget their name.
Zeroing out is a common result for creatures who begin Apotheosis, and fail to either rise to divinity or safely Nadir. In the scrambled notes of Lod Coster, he theorized the Sideways Steps were once a location that underwent Zero Sum, or an effect similar to it.
