Fivefold Cauldron
The Fivefold Cauldron is a Wish-augmented Stellar Cauldron created by the Void Coven of the Crucible, General Khaim, and the Malikah. Although it was designed to power the planar tethers installed in the Crucible, further scheming by Khaim saw the Cauldron infused with dozens of wishes, which seems to have given the Cauldron a will of its own, and maybe even the ability to grant wishes without the help of a spellcaster.
Appearance
The Fivefold Cauldron is a perfect cube, save for the opening on the top side, and glows with flickering nanites and loose wires. A pinkish pseudo-liquid filled with pulsing stars swirls inside, although those not of its bonded coven quickly grow nauseous trying to follow the pattern.Known Abilities
The Fivefold Cauldron offers a variety of boons to all creatures, but given that it is inherently a Stellar Cauldron, only a coven of Void Hags can draw out its true potential. If an ability can only be used by a bonded coven, this will be indicated next to the ability name.- The Cauldron's Blessing: The first time a creature willingly imbibes the contents of the Cauldron, they benefit as if the target of regeneration, remove affliction (automatically effective), or restoration (can remove 1 permanent negative level) -- the player picks the effect after drinking the pseudo-liquid. Alternatively, they can choose to regain 10 Resolve Points, or 10 levels of worth of spell slots (e.g. one could recover two 5th-level spell slots, two 3rd-level and one 4th-level, and so on). Only the coven can benefit from the ability more than once -- other creatures who try are immediately targeted by a snuff life spell instead.
- Enhanced Stellar Cauldron (Coven Only): The Fivefold Cauldron gives its coven all the normal benefits of a Stellar Cauldron, and in addition allows them to cast clairaudience/clairvoyance 2/day, telepathy 1/day, and vision 1/month -- with a caster level equal to the user's.
