Border tensions again explode into violence.

The border between Nakarmalai and Ormosahar was fluid, and the last war 50 years previous had ended inconclusively. The frontier had been left open, and only a token mutual garrison was left at the foot of the Ruby Pass in the Mountains of Shadow where raiders from the north could come through. But tensions remained, and there is wealth in the mountains, and fertile fields between. Both sides claim to have been provoked, but the end result is an almost decade long war.
