Artisan & Trade Guilds

Responsible for registering artisans, collecting taxes, and setting standards for craft and trade.

The artisan guild is a very large orginisation consisting of multiple “merchant houses” of different artisian crafts like, The Carpenters Warehouse, The Sculptors Building and The House of Painters etc.

All these houses are where artisans study and share their crafts, many independend workshops maintain networks and share resourses through these houses, these houses are run by nobles or wealthy merchants.

Each larger town usually has multiple workshops and a guild house.

If players take up the role of artificer or has anything in his or her background that fits into any arts or craft, then they are probably already a member of at least one of the guilds to train on a regular basis.

Trade Guild HQ

There are two large, competing trade guilds in my kingdom, joined by a handfull of smaller independent traders.

All these have to pay their duties and taxes at the Trade Guild HQ, their offices can be found in every major city.

TGHQ is run by the state and often resides in or near the local Mooreguard barracks, this is one usually of the most guarded buildings in any city.

Trade routes throughout the continent connect major cities, these traderoutes are heavily patrolled by Mooreguard so the merchant caravans can travel in reasonable peace.

Two rival trade guilds vie for control over Thalindor’s commerce, taxation, and influence.
