FOES: Parental Advisory
(Text for possible inclusion into The Cat, Crow, & Knitten Show - Vol. 2)
"Oh, we have foes, my boy," Gleaffle explains in a low hush.
Crow whispers, "We do?"
"Yes, your father just wants to keep you safe. When you're high in society like we are, enemies come with the territory. I thought you knew that's why we're here at the castle."
Knitten peeps, "I thought we were here to have fun."
Crow rubs his chin in perplexment. "We're just higher-class servants of the king and queen and get to live on the castle property, right, mother?" he asks. "What sort of foes could we have?"
His mother, ever the high spirit, laughs. "Some rather colorful ones, if you were to have joined us on our journeys out past the Rim. But I doubt any of them would have followed us back into Doemane. The ones you have to worry about may have eyes and ears anywhere you travel past the castle's Royal Woods."
