Clarifying Politics, Coincidence, & Reality

Thank you for stopping by. Due to some people sending me comments and emails with accusatory tones, I decided to write this letter to those who stumble upon my world-building area. Time to clear the air, so... Let's talk, shall we?

I do not talk politics.
  Yes, there is political unrest and even an epidemic in this series, but today's political landscape did not inspire these books.

I originally started this series as a single book called The Caste at the end of 2014 before a real can of worms opened in the U.S. in 2016.
  That can of worms made me put the draft on hold for a while despite finishing it. In 2019, I picked it back up, changed character's names, re-outlined, changed the names of the first book to Insurrection, and outlined the second book, Aftermath.
  As an all too real global pandemic hit in 2020, I put this series back down again. Things were a little too close to reality.
  As we entered into 2021 and the incident of January 6 happened, I felt like the Universe and Fates were sending me a message. I considered scrapping this series altogether.
  These stories may be close to home and real-life events, but what isn't in a dystopian story? I decided to go ahead with this series because I enjoyed writing it. I have made changes that may or may not diminish the reality of the world as we know it as of this writing, 15 Feb 2025. We shall see how things go as the rewrites continue.

Because some people can't distinguish reality from a fictional book, and have sent me not-so-nice comments and emails through my actual website, I must write these disclaimers to protect myself.
  As someone with a medical and science background, I get to use my stupid skills to flesh out this world unlike any other, except the Bureau 13 things I had the pleasure to write many years ago under my real name. I enjoy getting all sciencey and creating new and unique things that cause other new and unique things.
