The Æyvenhal
"They do not take. They inherit."
--Last recorded words of the Prime Auditor of TVD.
Overview:
The dissolution of old systems and the gradual retreat of old powers like TVD and even some TCOSA factions gave rise to the Æyvenhal Dominion, a divine-geopolitical entity that is a rising cosmic force. Both allies and adversaries are beginning to view the Æyvenhal as the next inevitable superpower, despite their modest numbers and lack of understanding.
Brute expansion is not how the Dominion functions. War doesn't spread it. It spreads via recursion-bound adoption, inheritance, and succession. As it spreads like roots through forgotten soil, it resurrects defunct systems, annexes things thought to be too unstable to rule, and takes over ancient realms.
Origin:
The Dominion, founded by Xzovaryn'Veloraex, a visionary of unknown birth who was originally regarded to be a myth, came into being witht he fall of the Veil-Spires, a series of supposed-abandoned celestial citadels in the Outer Rings. Rather, Æyvenhal agents revived sorrupted recurions nodes that had destabilized vast areas of the cosmic map, restored them, and claimed their relics.
The Dominion made news when they safely kept a surviving Fragment of the Nameless Core--in containment, not worship--and were the first to subdue the Unnamed Evexistents to stable servitude.
Power Structure:
The Voice of Æyvenhal, who is now Xzovaryn'Veloraex, is a godkiller and prophet. Uses mirrored languages when speaking.
Advisors created from heavenly memories that outlived their physical bodies are known as the Archiveborne.
Diplomats and strategists known as the Scale-Bindery are responsible for transforming failed treaties into recursive agreements.
Secret agents known as the veinwalkers are responsible for securing outer-limb realms and taming flare-born abnormalities.
They are governed by what they refer to as "The Spiral Accord," a living document that is updated in real time through oath, code, and dream channel, rather than by a linear hierarchy.
Why They Are Feared:
- Recursive Authority: They maintain the stability of more failed systems than any other power.
- Anti-Evexist Alliances: They have made peace agreements with well-known evils that were formerly annihilated by Zhaïraë'alya.
- Adopted Titans: Two liminal Titans, both fused into metropolitan cores, are currently in their custody. Only Æyvenhal voices can elicit a response from these living cities.
- New Logic: They recently started disseminating Tør'Annullion, an unidentified symbolic language that rewrites the recursion rules themselves.
Goals:
- All remaining void breaches should be securred and recoded.
- Take in or eliminate renegade godlings and heirs that are armed with flares.
- With the remaining members of TVD's southern wing, make a succession agreement.
- Construct a Single Citadel that is fueled by inheritance cores from all heavenly dynasties, including the members of Zhaïraë'alya's family.
The Warning:
Despite their tactful and subtle approaches, many whisper:
"The Æyvenhal are not land-based. They inherit ancestry."
And inheristance is the most cutting edge in a world where bloodlines have birth power.
