Horned Wolf

The Horned wolf is an ancient Titan that lives in the frozen wastes at the north pole of Haven, where it is a terror upon the local ice dragons.
The wolf is a child of Tiamat and the demon lord Baphomet, from which it inherits its horns.

Powers

The horned Wolf posesses powers over beasts and the weather. Its great size is no impediment to its speed and strength, it can allegedly leap mountains and tear down city walls like paper. It also seems to be effectively immortal, its body can regenerate from a lifeless husk if it is allowed to do so.

It is also intelligent and capable of speaking any language, though the main tongue it speaks is Wild-speak.
The wolf uses no spells but it posesses an unnatural wisdom and awareness of the wider world, including magic and rituals. It is suspected that it has Oracle-like abilities.

A legend also tells that those who cross the Horned wolf's gaze and live will surely find true love. This is likely just superstition, as not many venture into the far north to see the beast and live to tell the tale.

History:

The Horned wolf's origins are shrouded in mystery, it is unclear how it came to be on Haven and it refuses to speak of it. What is known is that it is at least several thousand years old.
It was first discovered by humanity as a prisoner of the Jotnar during the War of Tyrants in an underground facility where the jotnar were tormenting the beast in an attempt to turn it into a weapon for them to use. It agreed to help humanity's war effort in exchange for its freedom and both assisted humanity by personally slaughtering many Jotnar as well as creating the curse of Lycanthropy to aid humanity in their fight.

Once the war slowly petered out, the horned wolf retreated to the far north of Haven. It rarely leaves from this cold realm of ice and storms.

Appearance

The horned wolf appears as a titanic wolf of black fur, with horns atop its head and humanoid forelimbs. Its gaze betrays its fierce intelligence.

The beast is more than twenty foot tall at the shoulder.
