Mask of Terror
A Mask of Terror, also known as "Nightmare's Visage" is made by sorcerers or rarely shamans and druids for use in battle.
A Mask of Terror is a wooden mask usually carved into the snarling face of a demon, nightmare or other monster. It contains an inset or hidden Soulstone containing a Nightmare. They can be used by a wearer to inspire unnatural fear in those looking upon the wearer, making them panic or flee. Entire crowds of people can be caused to run with ease.
Masks of Terror can be used only a limited amount of time before the spirit within is exhausted and needs to recuperate. They are also mentally exhausting to wear for long times and should not be worn to sleep or will inspire major nightmares in the wearer.
Masks of Terror became popular immediately after The Nightmare Wars, and though many saw them as dishonorable they were quite effective.
