Session 7 - Robot Fights The Monkey

The party entered the temple to do battle with the demons. They were tasked with holding the demons at bay while the revenant performed a ritual to destroy the portal.   The temple appeared to have been corrupted by the group known as The Black Blades of Urgorth-Sar. A dangerous demonic cult who nearly brought Bloodmar to its knees about eighty years ago.    During the course of the fight it was revealed that Arturus was once a member of this group and he was responsible for the destruction of Crann Céadair (as part of a attempt by The Black Blades to sever the connection between the material plane and the Feywild). His current service to Elise is actually his attempt at penance and redemption for his past deeds.   A long battle with the demons ensued that night which involved manes being destroyed only to morph into more dangerous maws. A babau emerging from the portal and finally a balgura climbing from a pit in the center of the temple.   An enlarged Jangles and the balgura fought with Jangles landing many strong hits before falling. Xiao Feng stepped up in Jangles' place and unsheathed the Unlearnt to finish off the balgura in a fine display of swordsmanship.   The revenant completed the ritual and destroyed the portal before fading to ash once her duty was done (Xioa Feng scattered the ashes in respect once they left the temple). They earned her sword, a Sea-Stone Blade, and her mariner armour for their aid.   The sword was given to Red and the armour used by Butcher Pete to modify Jangles to have a buoyancy function. Nearby crystals which glowed in the dark were also used to add a flashlight to Jangles.   It was soon revealed that someone was watching the party through a modified scrying spell. The watcher claimed to have one of the black pearls and also appeared to have one of the swords that Xiao Feng sought, Heaven's Fall. Before his image faded he told the party that he would met them in Urgoth-Sar.
