Session 6 - Changing Crews

After their disagreements over whether or not to aid Elise the party split with Surge going off on his own. Red and Butcher bid him farewell and set out to gather the components needed for Elise's ritual.   The components were soon gather and the ritual turned The Driftwood into a brigantine . Though it turned out that the brigantine housed a fey spirit known as Crann Céadair who happened to be the parent of Elise. Crann Céadair was once one of the ancient anchor trees of the world but was burned down. Its spirit was saved by The Once-Blessed and transferred to his ship and now is bound to the party's ship.   New crew members where hired at Corsair Cove as the brigantine needed a bigger crew to function. Among this crew was a skilled swordsman called Xiao Feng who had come to Bloodmar seeking a certain blade.   The party decided to take on a couple of jobs, the first being delivery of some letters and the second being a ghost investigation.   On the letter delivery job they party sailed into a strange fog. This turned out to be the Fog of Horrors, a sign that meant that the Harbringer of the Mists, a notorious ghost ship, was located somewhere in the waters. The party slowed their journey to let the fog and ship get well ahead of them rather than risk an encounter.   The ghost investigation lead to the discovery that the ghost was actually a revenant that was tied to an old order known as the Templars of the Trident. She was fighting demons each night to keep them sealed. She would die each night only to be risen to repeat this task again.   The party offered to help fight the demons so she could get the time needed to complete the ritual to seal the demon portal. In return for their aid she told them they could keep her armour and sword once the task was done as she would pass on. She called upon the oath of her order to grant the party the effects of the heroism spell in preparation for the battle.   Elise revealed that she can hear what is going on through the pearl in Red's eye and at the party's request sent Arturus to aid them against the demons. At sessions end the party were entering the room to begin the demon fight.
