Weaponry of War

Within these halls lies your arsenal to tell stories of conflict, bloodshed, and triumph. Spears and bows will be the most common tools for common soldiers but those with special training and status like warlords and generals may use curved blades like the Kopesh. Common folk will most likely use slings preferring to stay as far away from deadly melee as possible.   Standard armor of the time are helmets, breastplates, and shields. The differences in these items lies in the styling and the materials based on culture. You will be pressed to find a warrior clad from head to toe in plate armor. Warriors are armored light for swift movement and momentum. Each melee and ranged strike is looking to capitalize on areas of exposed flesh.   “The Warlord trains her bowmen to use their bows at close range. I have seen this first hand when we were ambushed at the Oasis near . The fire an initial volley arrows that blankets the sky in shadow and rains down on the enemy. As their opponents shield themselves from the volley , the regiment uses this moment to close the distance with cheetah-like speed. There they put one arrow after another into the heart of their opponents from inches away while weaving past the enemies swing of their blades." - Anonymous Chieftain
