The Slanderous Tale

The Slanderous Tale. The Pentacle of the fallacious fable. The weaver of truth in the tapestry lies. The old pantheon.   Perhaps the strangest of The Twelvefold Idola. They were once a pantheon in their own right, powerful and influential before even The Twelvefold Idola were formed. This once pantheon of gods chose to unify themselves into one being, the reason why is unknown, a common belief is they felt that their domains represented multiple facets of the same whole and that it would be better if they themselves were one, but The Slanderous Tale has not confirmed this or any belief as to why they unified, stating that they prefer that their followers and the world spin their own tales. Not long after their unification they formed The Twelvefold Idola. with the other founding deities.     Theirs is the domain of Truth, Lies, and Stories. This world is made of stories they say, built by stories, ruled by stories, defined by stories and these stories build a great lie that smothers the truth of the world.   When the 5 were separate they referred to themselves as Chapters and their domains were in their names.

• Chapter 5: The Apocalyptic Jubilee

  The Obnoxious Innocence's domain is Innocence. The Innocence of the unknown, of starting a new life, of begging a new tale.
The Grotesque Grace's domain is Grace. The Grace of an eloquent storyteller, a weaver of a captivating tale, of the wool being gracefully pulled over the eyes of an audience that doesn't even realise it's happening and the grace of that wool being pulled away to reveal the truth being hidden.
The Treacherous Potential's Domain is Potential. The potential of what could be rather than what is, the hopeful potential of a new life, the wasted potential of a life poorly lived, of a story with a promising start and a disappointing end.
The Venomous Wisdom's domain is Wisdom. the Wisdom to ask, the wisdom to question the world, the wisdom to question its myths, legends, history and fables.
The Apocalyptic Jubilee's domain is both the apocalypse and Jubilees. The whats and whys of these domains are unknown and are left deliberately vague, perhaps the apocalypse represents the ends of stories perhaps the Jubilees represents the beginning of new stories that will one day end. It's unclear and this deity does not answer.
  But now that they are one these domains too have been unified with each chapter now being closer to different tenants of the faith that all followers are expected to abide by to some extent.
