Elf
The Elves are colorful people with many different subraces with a variety of abilities.
Elves Who Were Allowed Into Their Own Caves… Adapted to the caves and became the Drow. Most of the drow refused the offer of stasis and decided to go to the Underground. This is why there is a little number of Drow in the Mortal Realm.
Elves Who Fortified Their Forest Kingdoms… Became one with their home, and became the Wood Elves. Because of their lack of outside ideas and visitors, most Wood Elven kingdoms are extremely territorial and don't trust outsiders.
Elves Who Fortified Their Forest Kingdom With Other Races… Became the High Elves, as they grew and evolved with humans they had adapted similar features to them.
Types
High Elves
High Elves look much like humans, the difference being that their eyes and hair can be any color (*determined seemingly randomly and rarely based on genetics), as well as slightly pointed ears with shaped irises and skin irregularities (such as squares, stars, or snowflakes). High Elves are also split into two separate categories: Sun Elves who have more bright colors, and Moon Elves who have darker colors.Wood Elves
When a wood elf is born, their skin becomes the tone of the nearest tree, and within the first 6 months become textured the same as well. Their hair will share the color of the tree's leaves and will change throughout the season, a beautiful green in spring, orange in Autumn, and brown in Winter. Wood Elves have much more in common with True Elves than High Elves and have much pointier ears showing it.Dark Elves (Drow)
The Elves of the Underground have lavender-purple skin and stark white hair. Their eyes are commonly the following: orange, black, lavender, green, and white. They also have incredibly pointed ears and cat-like irises.Origins
True Elves are the mortal offspring of The Fey Finder, which all other types of Elves come from.Elven Civil War
During a civil war between the two elven kingdoms in the Fey Wilds, the people who were tired of war formed a third kingdom, which stopped the fighting and exiled those who refused to join them into the Mortal Realm. The exiled took some time adjusting to their new home, and so did the people who were already living there, but they settled in time. When the Mythological Era ended, the elves also had to hide from the Abyssal-Angelic War.Elves Who Were Allowed Into Their Own Caves… Adapted to the caves and became the Drow. Half-Elves
Because of the Elves' integration into human societies, they aren't hated like in most settings. The only exception is when it comes to traditional Wood Elf Kingdoms which hate outsiders and anyone who isn't a Wood Elf.
