Dwarf

Dwarves are a short race that can be found all over the universe. They tend to have an easy time understanding and using magic to create items and strongholds making them the ultimate forgers, architects, and overall problem solvers.
 

Types

There are three main types of Dwarf: Mountian, Duergar, and Hill.
 

Mountain Dwarves

The Mountain Dwarves are the ones who decided to stay in the Pyro Providence. They're considered the cousins of Goliaths due to their similar creation and spend most of their time exploring the undiscovered caves in the Elemental Realms.
 

Duergar

The Dwarves who stayed in the Gia Providence (or the Underdark as it's more commonly called) became the Duergar. They developed a second vision that allows them to see colorless shapes in the dark, allowing them to have sight into areas most others wouldn't. They spend most of their time creating various weapons and treasures using the strange materials available to them (such as the realm's magically infused flora and metals).
 

Hill Dwarves

The dwarves who moved to the Mortal Realm dug their homes into their mountains and hills, non of which compares in size to the ones back home. At this point in the Sleeping Era (100 or so years before its end), the world was empty excluding the forests and caves the mortals were currently hiding in. In this time of peace from man and nature, the Dwarves evolved to have softer skin than their ancestors and cousins back home.
 

History

Dwarves originally come from the Elemental Realms, in the Pyro Providence where they caved homes in its fiery mountain ranges. They were shaped from the molten rock by Aqeenous and would later use the same molten rock to light and power their homes and forges. Eventually, the materials found in the Pyro Providence bored some of the Dwarves and so they spread to the other three providences. Eventually, they left the Aqueenous and Frollo Providences, the ones in the Gia Providence however stayed, and evolved into the Duergar. Once the Mortal Realm was abandoned, the Dwarves' interests peaked again and they moved in towards the end of the Sleeping Era. The ones who stayed evolved into the Hill Dwarves.
