Oceanus

(a.k.a. The Waverider)

Oceanus is an Alugach member of the tribe of Manaan, a small Sea Elf colony that sits around twenty miles south-east of Saltmarsh, beyond the waters of Salting Bay.   Recently the tribe noted, from a distance, the periodic travels of a smuggling ship at night along a supposedly deserted coastal area. That ship was now known to be The Sea Ghost. Suspicious of this behaviour, the tribal chief ordered their head tidal hunter Oceanus to keep watch on this area, slip aboard when the ship arrived, and follow the ship back to its port of origin to discover what he could of these strange proceedings.   This Oceanus did, and while near the Haunted House, he witnessed the stowing aboard of a small arsenal of weaponry. He was then discovered, knocked out, and taken prisoner. He awakened some time later, chained to the ship’s hull in a small compartment, where he was rescued by a party of adventurers working out of Saltmarsh.

Appearance and Mannerisms

Oceanus is tall for an Alugach, lithe but well-muscled. There are coral green and white wave tattoos all over his pale grey upper body.   The Sea Elf has long white hair that waves elegantly around his head as he floats in the waters of The Azure Sea.   He prefers to wear leather and shell armour, and wields a spear with grace.   Oceanus is very smart and resourceful, but cannot resist a challenge and takes any opportunity to experience new things. He is an adrenaline junkie.

Notable Achievements

Oceanus has earned the nickname Waverider amongst his tribe, thanks to his great skill at surfing ocean waves aboard a polished wooden board. This allows him to move from the depths to shallow waters both swiftly and silently.

A surfing, chilled out, Alugach scout.
