Neifae
In the wild forests of Neivale in the West of the Known Worlds, many Neifae tribes act as protectors of this world and the plane of spirits. They often have a deep connection to the Eternal of Life and Dreams, and a familiar relationship to the giant Lepineira butterflies. While Neifae that have not grown up in the forests may lack that deep connection, they usually still find it easier to feel the needs of nature and sense the world way more intense than most other species, which is why Neifae who don't get mentored by their people or an equivalent can find it hard to live a normal life and often find themselves in an emotionally unstable state.
Neifae are known to have blue to green skin, with butterfly-like, dimly glowing patterns surrounding their entire body.
Usually, Neifae and wood elves live a peaceful and often friendly life as allies in the forests. There has never been a big war between the two species, as their mutual goal of protecting and worshipping nature has often made them connect and work together.

Living in tribes
Most Neifae live in tribes in their home forest, each of which have a different function to the world around them. The Oulani tribe, for example, focusses on animism and the spirits that roam the world, while the Neiraktaya look beyond the veil of this world and connect to the plane of dreams to experience visions and past memories, and search for answers beyond this world.Neifae and Elves
When the elves, back then known as Eladrin, emerged from the Feywild, most of them crossed the line right in the wild forests of Neivale. Neifae were the first to become acquainted with them, sharing their cultures and ideas of the world. Many elves, known as wood elves, still live in the forests to this day (though often in their own villages), while others, today known as high elves, looked beyond the woods and found another place in the world. However, that original cultural exchange with the Neifae is still seen even in the distant elven civilizations, as for example the moon elves, a subrace of the high elves, still have a deep connection to dreams originally rooted in the Neiraktaya ways.Usually, Neifae and wood elves live a peaceful and often friendly life as allies in the forests. Darkvision. Accustomed to twilit forests and the night sky, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Keen Senses. You have proficiency in the Perception skill.
Neifaerian Empathy. You have a deeper understanding and perception of the world around you, which is why you have an advantage on any charisma-related perception check (the DM may decide individually when that is the case).
