You, dear reader, are likely among the olundi and have had this tome handed down unto you by some source distantly related to myself. While the previous sections might seem strange because of how removed the strife of the Eshan is from yourself I assure you a change. This is YOUR book. It is the longest among them and the one into which I have been most thorough. I have done this because I am impressed with and love olundi. No Eshan ever matched such genius and bravery with the graceful acceptance of a unjustly short life. We have more to learn from you than you from us.
This said, I have the benefit of time and you do not. I have the benefit of great oversight and you do not. Be patient with me then as I recount in brief your history as I see it from my vantage point.
It begins with the ruins of the First Feud. All the world was buried beneath the ruins and desolated wilderness of that conflict- leaving behind the Eshanic bones and fragmented races we left behind. The first race of creation, the Viscari, were destroyed in the war, leaving behind the chiefest of the Esseythu-endowed races created by the Ezontach, being the Odyrzid. They wandered through the wilderness which grew huge, blue, and wild on the life-giving fats of decomposing corpses. The name they gave this was Magyagardu and they were masters in that place.
Next came the Aemar of Aebaster, Etayen of Atun, Daorhu of the other Ezontach, along with many others. They attempted to settle in this same wilderness but were subservient at first to the powerful Odyrzid. This was until the overwatching Eshan took pity on them and granted them Eshanic power to fight the Odyrzid who were themselves forsaken by their former Ezontach makers. This was the first instance of Eshanic power being wielded by olundi through Eshanic grace. With this power in hand Magyagardu and the Odyrzid were pushed to the fringes of civilization and replaced by cities, roads, farms, and the other uniquely olundi necessities to survive in the Eshanic world.
For credit to you, this period was the birth of the most magnificent physical, mental, and spiritual developments the world ever knew. You created religion with us, such that we were compelled to maintain some responsibilities and decorum. You created mathematics which put to numbers the hidden genius of Acolitus’ misunderstood creation. You created history through your need to remember and communicate the past, for which I am now bound to copy your methods. You created philosophy to make your time in the world better. All of these things were introduced during this time and thus I believe your reign to be the most noble in all the world.
In Voryndal the story was different, and here I can articulate it in few words. It was ruin. The bloodshed of the Feud never truly ended in that place, for too many Eshan and their races competed over too little land. Civilizations were born into utter violence for the purpose of glorifying their deities and dying. What little order was maintained during this period was enforced by Acolitus who used Judges, Nith’eshan outside the Mandates, and other brutal enforcers to ensure HIS peace and master over that half.
The age came to an end when the Eshan themselves destroyed the order- Aebaster died to Acolitus, Atun died to Corgastor and Aebaster, and so forth that few stood between Voryndal and Qadal. In such moment of weakness the Eshan of Voryndal saw a perfect opportunity to surge into Qadal and right the injustices of the original agreement. It is here that the Feud restarted for a second time and the final breaking down and reordering of creation to occur. This brought on what we name the Second Feud era.
