Yaalari
In the early centuries of the Wandering era, a great tremor of energy ran among the Ebal’eshan. Word stirred among them that Qadal was weakened and undefended. Aebaster and Corgastor were dead and no Eshanic master save Mesian and the Ezontach stood to make claims upon the land. This excited the Ebal’eshan who were long trapped in overpopulated Voryndal. Among them was Yaalon, who possessed a record of enigmatic activites in Qadal and numerous Eshanic interventions. It was by his hand that Zelai, former lover of Aebaster, was protected from discovery, and later that the relics of Sinestra, former aspect spirit of Typhon, were recovered. It was his ancient practice to violate the boundaries between the worlds at will, but never for a significant period of time nor claiming it for himself. Now matters were changed. Those boundaries were meaningless. Anarchy reigned.
This said, the sudden changes in Qadal were not enough alone to persuade Yaalon to another course. It was Zelai, his former subject of protection, who forced his hand. She and her daughters manipulated Syrgus Pyrgos to reclaim the throne of Eurobia in Othos. Now those collapsed boundaries were being pushed beyond his measure to adequately halt. It was time to decide whether to press forward or withdraw; allow others to profit or be among the noble first.
Yaalon desired a measure of subtly when executing this scheme. In this realm, he employed the same tactics utilized by Zelai herself. He began responding to the prayers of Corgastodmar who sought refuge from the travails of their time. While the impact was lessened by the decline of devote worshippers following 3451, Yaalon found the practice illuminating. He could successfully manipulate minds and speak with olûndi through a guise which elicited honest and heart-felt cries for salvation. It pained him greatly to witness the plight of Qadayen olûndi who he had hitherto considered in short periods. This discomfort dissuaded excessive abuses of this uncontested practice, but he found a particularly receptive community among the Corgastodmar remnants who dwelled in th Golbesh.
The Yaalari arrived in force, bearing with them a great retinue of warriors never before seen in Qadal. They carried bizarre and cruel weapons which were developed from wars eons passed. Remnants of the Yaalari retreated eastward aboard their ships, drifting in sorrow. A great and unexpected defeat was lain upon them. Yet, a strange glimmer of hope remained. The followers of Ácolitus, who were the most vigorous and dangerous opponents on the field, were dealt a hideous blow.
