He arrived in Yassaben and swiftly sought out the leaders of the Mesianic factions which was growing thereabouts to combat the looming threat. His objective was to suggest, or compel, the forces of Mesian into line with Acolitus regarding how to use her power against the invading forces of Voryndal. The various mistresses and masters of Mesian met together on the boundaries between old Corgastodmar and Elivas territories to ostensibly celebrate the 100th anniversary of Corgastor’s sacrifice and Mesian’s adoption of the Corgastodmar people. In truth, this was also a meeting to deploy Mesian’s power and how it might be done. Tyrenais knew this truth and went to the meeting and spoke before them, saying that if Mesian required a champion to wield her power, then it should be an agent who already possessed good experience with Nemesharic power- himself.

  The speakers of Mesian rejected Tyrenais’ offer, stating that if Acolitus caused this strife, then another should be entrusted to end it. They would choose one of their own- an Elivas named Rakiel, who had arrived here alongside a faction of Corgastodmar faithful. Tyrenais was furious and departed with words of revenge in his mouth. He soon later proved infamous for attacking and killing this Rakiel in his tent and attempting to take the artifacts of Mesian. The other Beacons of Mesian fought him off, but he continued to be a thorn in their side as they proceeded on their mission.
