Rukexis Katerok Tel’Atanim
The warrior class is well beloved to the Axodraharik race, so that the exploits and songs of these peoples are remembered down through generations. Few ever achieved renown greater than Rukexis, who ranked among the numerous migrants of Axoggan into Qadal. He fought in the hideous battles between Orduza and the Qazunari, within which whole hilltops were arisen from corpses. The jungles were torched and the virgin clear lakelets were drowned in corruption. Yet, the degenerated backwater of Neyas was taken stride upon stride by Rukexis’ companions. Miserable losses rent apart the Axodraharik ranks in turn. The best years of Rukexis’ life were consumed with this terrible slaughter. Nothing more was known to him. Scores of terrible monstrosities were crushed beneath his weapons. As the war entered its final years, the positions of the Qazunari crumbled. The Axodraharik made sport of destroying everything before them which stank with the taint of the shamed Eshan. Rukexis was first into these slaughters, and thus stumbled into the events which made him famous.
It was in the depths of the Neyasi jungle. Rukexis charged with spear in hand against dozens of Qazunari warriorlings, knocking them aside and pursuing them deeper into the interior than ever before done. In that morass, he discovered what appeared to be jagged crag-faces rising toward the tree-tops. Nothing of similar scale was known in Neyas. His scattered enemies leapt into narrow crevases amidst the rock faces, plunging into darkness beyond sight. Rukexis followed them. Beneath the ground a trail wound for many strides, with only the sounds of trembling enemies to guide the way.
Rukexis yet remained stalwart between the exitway and Qazunari, denying their every approach with bodily interventions, so that no move could be made without endangering him and themselves. Meanwhile, the other Axodraharik and Axokari were approaching.
