Matters of the Outer Belt
How might one respond to insults born from one’s own ignorance? Anger in turn, perhaps admission, or silent determination to become elsewise? This is the question the domains of Neyas, Seymenasi, Gisuvollos, and the Great Girdle have fought against for centuries. The reputation of such Outer Belt realms is barbarism and backwardsness. Yet, how might they be otherwise without knowledge? The Etayen ranged in weak ways to such placed, and those places settled in the Outer Belt were never priority enough to uplift.
During the Imperial era, the label of Outer Belt became particularly venomous. The Axodraharik of Yor’shagon considered themselves among the great domains of Qadal, for they arrived in the 1400s as nothing, liberated Loseya, and built themselves as equals to anyone. Never were they subject to colonization nor harassment of the Etayen. Yet, their occupation of the once desolate Neyas earned them the badge of an Outer Belt nation- inferior to those along the Wolonorend. The Axodraharik despised this without exception, for no other affront was more scathing.
