Esha’s Lastcomers - Acoyeri
In the deep latter years of Esha’s existence, the mandates of Kovûnkal were dismantled amid terrible bloodshed and fear. A new Binding age arose, wherein neither Alor’eshan nor Ebal’eshan were undisputed masters of their domain. Most of the Alor’eshan were dead anyhow. In this environment, the creator introduced his own race of olundi into the multitude. They were known as the Acoyeri.
A terrible fear precluded the creation of such a race for many years. Acolitus had invested some measure of himself in the creation of the Elivas. It was uncertain if the Eshanic Mandate- ever esoteric in its nature, would punish him for creating something thereafter. For long centuries the effort was never undertaken. Acolitus contented himself with manipulating the other races of Esha.
The Acoyeri are strange, for they are somewhere between Etayen, Odyrzid, and Aemar in their strength. They are not too tall, but generally tall, and rather strong. Each one differs in appearance from another, given the eclectic tastes of the Creator. Perhaps most strange is that the Acoyeri possess no bodily functions alike other olundi- neither eating, drinking, sleeping, nor relieving themselves. They subsist entirely on the Eshanic power granted by Acolitus, making them immortal in the same measure. Why? Foremost, it makes their settlement upon an embattled world much easier. Defense and mobility can be prioritized above all other measure. Second, the Acoyeri are entirely under the control of Acolitus. Any attempt to question his mandates results in a deprived state, wherein the individual is swiftly killed without such Eshanic energy. This was perhaps Acolitus’ masterstroke, since rebellion is the eternal ban of his existence.
