Oliver, Cole, and Dawn are living on the streets of Inerth after escape Eternis Port. They take refuge in an abandoned shed that leads to the basement when they are found by Riley and Bill Warrick. Riley wants to take them in while Bill is hesitant. Oliver is unsure how safe they are and doesn't want to stick around.
The Federal Children Association is called and the kids are picked up. Riley offers to foster the children. The Association puts in a request to have the children placed with a different foster family, splitting the siblings up. Oliver doesn't agree with it and starts to fight back. Dawn and Cole agree, refusing to leave their only safeguard.
Eventually, the FCA gives in and deems the children too dangerous to split up, unsure of how to control their arcana aura. Riley is excited to take in the children and offers them a true home if they want to get adopted some day.
About a month after being their foster parents, Riley wants to adopt them into the family. The siblings accept it and become official members of the Warrick Family.
