Masquerade Masks

The grand ball, held every five years, of the Storm Pack is known for its masquerade masks made specifically for the nobles. For centuries, the masks have been an important aspect of the ball, always being made new and with the most expensive materials found in the galaxy. Each mask is unique and designed specifically with the wearer in mind; their talents and hobbies often intertwined with the masks. Those who wear the masks are known as shura, the nobles of Kairax.

Raw Materials & Components

There are many materials that go into designing a mask, but each one is more expensive than the last. The very first material needed is meteor plaster, a type of material that coils itself around the face and molds perfectly to the skin. It is a shiny material and hardly anyone has an allergen to it. State-of-the-art magnets are embedded into the mask and align with the arcana of the noble wearing the mask so that the masks stays in place throughout the night. Harbor glass is also used as a medium to create stunning decorations attached to the mask.     The final and most important material of the mask is luna dust, a powerful substance that gives the masks their signature noble appearance. It is collected from the moon pools inside the moons found throughout the galaxies located in the Federation Alliance's sector. Adding luna dust to the masks gives it that sparkly shine that emphasizes power, wealth, and status.
