Astro-Compass

The astro-compass uses the arcana force of the universe to track the pathways or routes to the destination linked up to the astro-compass. As the needle continues to point toward the destination with the arcana force still active, the ship will never lose course.

The astro-compass was first created by the astro folk as a short-term guidance tool in 821 EoC. The effects of the compass only lasted for a brief period of time before the needle malfunctioned and the travelers would get lost. Ships didn't have the best navigation system until 567 EoC. The astro folk were tired of getting lost and traveling was important to them; getting lost wasn't in the cards the Fates dealt.   Getting creative, the astro folk linked into the arcana around them and found that the needle in the compass reacted to it. Excited, their spirits were lifted and they asked Lurdon, god of technology to bless them with the the skills to improve their compass. They worked tirelessly to complete their next project, barley staying parked for too long. Eventually, the astro folk perfected their compass and it could access the arcana whenever a destination's coordination were logged on it.   Some astro folk who leave their tribe may find themselves aboard a pirate or loner vessel just traveling the souls, but in a more adventurous way.

The compass acts like a guide, keeping people safe. However, the compass is only available to the astro people, who deem it a blessing from Lurdon and Gersoi, the strategist. To be granted one by the astro folk, you have to prove yourself a true ally to them as they traverse the souls.
