The Shen'Shou
The Shen'Shou is a very large yellow Bird that eats fruit off of trees and fish found in rivers and lakes. This large bird can walk on all fours and when reaching for food on a tall tree it can stand on it's hind legs to reach for food:
Basic Information
Anatomy
It has four legs, a long tail with large feathers for swimming and balance and a large hooked beak for eating fish and it's front feet have a thumb like claw for eating certain fruits on Angellonia.
Genetics and Reproduction
they reproduce like most birds, the gestation period lasts for a year until they lay a clutch of around two dozen eggs and then incubate them for half of a year then they hatch.
Growth Rate & Stages
the first stage is the egg stage, second is the chick stage where they are mostly "naked" meaning they have no feathers and will require the help of their parents for food and protection for the next few months, third is the growing stage where the Shen'Shou will start to gain size and feathers and start to become more independent from the nest, and the last stage is the adult stage where they're fully grown.
Ecology and Habitats
they prefer to live in humid regions and places where there is plenty of fish and fruits.
Dietary Needs and Habits
they are omnivores but mainly eat fruit and only eat fish when it is nearby.

Social Structure
they live in small herds with one male and one female who are partners for life leading the herd and allowed to have offspring together. when a male challenges the alpha they usually lock beaks and shake around trying to break the neck of the other Shen'Shou. if they win they would usually kill the female and pick a female as a mate for life but if they lose then they are kicked out of the herd.
Domestication
they are not domesticated due to their large size being not ideal for warfare but are domesticated for their eggs and feathers and meat.

they can be quite intelligent being able to be taught simple commands like a dog and can also remember faces like crows.

they have perfect vision, being ten times stronger than a hawk's and like most animals on Angellonia they smell the air with their tongues like snakes.

Body Tint, Colouring and Marking
they are a dark yellow color, able to blend in the tall grasses of Orijhin but strangely are found on Fodirn'Ladir instead.
