They were renamed striders due to the way they walk when they patrol around their herds in a diamond shape route.

Additional Information

Social Structure

They live in herds where the Alpha Male is in charge but there can be multiple Alphas in a herd if and only if they were from the same litter of pups. Females can also be Alphas but is very rare and in those cases she would have a harem of Males she mates with while Males only have one Female mate for life. When a male or a female challenges an Alpha, they do so by standing on their hind legs and calling out to the Alpha with deep growling in their belly and the Alpha if threatened will go towards the sound and begin to duel the challenger. Then the two fight each other on their hind legs using their front paws to smack each other until one of them submits or dies. If the Challenger wins then the Alpha is kicked out of the herd and those former Alphas become rogues which make them more aggressive and change in color and their spikes become bigger and grow new sets of spike by their brow, and if the Alpha wins the challenger is kicked out until the next winter season. When a predator targets a pup in the herd, the females surround the pup and the males will attack the predators until they leave or killed.
