The Angellonian Temple
The Angellonian Temple is one of the holiest buildings in Angellonia and all Angellonians from a young age are sworn to protect it with their lives. The Zealots meditate in lowest rooms of the temple where they train and study the holy texts and scrolls to better themselves as a person and to worship their God as do all of the Angellonians. The Zealots were founded in the inner chambers of the temple and are considered to be "The Divine One's" very own army.
Purpose / Function
The Temple is used by all Angellonians who have sinned: they would bring an animal sacrifice and the priests would help the Angellonian by using a golden bowl to catch the blood and burn it with incense and then take the flesh of the animal and burn it's body into ashes which then they give the Angellonian the ashes to then blow into the "chimney" of the temple causing the ashes to go into the wind. it is also used by "The Divine One" as His palace where every 444 years he visits the Angellonians and the high priest would come into the holy room and offer a sacrifice to "The Divine One" Himself and if He accepted the sacrifice then all Angellonians are cleansed from their sins (until they sin again of course).
Design
It has four rooms: the main chamber where the sacrifices are done, the inner chamber where the priesthood sleeps and where the Holy scrolls are protected the chamber of the Zealots where the Zealots sleep, train, study and worship their God only to come out when called upon and the last room is the holy room where the throne of "The Divine One" resides in. it is located as another room next to the main chamber and is covered with a blue cloth to cover the door way of the room and is only to be entered once every 444 years by the High priest and if any one were to enter without the permission of "The Divine One" then they would be killed immediately by "The Divine One" himself.
Entries
There are four thousand steps that go up to the pyramid with an archway leading into the main chamber and a short hallway leading into the Holy Room. there is a spiral stair way that leads to the inner chambers and deeper down would lead to the Zealot's chamber.
Sensory & Appearance
once entering into the temple, you could smell bread, cooked/raw meat and incense. the room relies on natural lighting and torches during the night. it is somewhat warm but when going to the inner chambers the temperature does drop and the Zealot's chamber is very cold and gets very hot during the summer seasons. there are priests who may be playing instruments like drums, string instruments (such as a harp or a lyre), and a unique wind instrument that uses the hands moving around the holes instead of breath and a choir group that sings Angellonian hymns.
Denizens
The priest hood and the Zealots are the only Angellonians who reside in the temple but have been known to take in those who not as fortunate as others.
Contents & Furnishings
There are tables where the priest hood would eat together and a octagon shaped furnace which resembles a grill that is in the center of the main chamber, on the wall to the right are the ceremonial tools used for the sacrifices and on the left would be the robes the priest hood would wear when preforming the sacrifices.
Valuables
text that is chiseled into the walls of the temple are painted with gold and silver and copper depending on the type of doctrine the text is written from. the ceremonial bowls are made out of gold with precious gemstones on the brim of the bowls, there are golden cups which are also decked with precious gemstones and the golden silk robes that the high priest wears are the only valuables that are within the temple.

As far as the intelligence that is gathered, there are no traps or hidden hazards within or surrounding the temple.
Alterations
As commanded by "The Divine One" no alterations have been done to the building but after the great revolution and the attack of rebel forces and then an attempted Vildok invasion, the Temple had to be repaired.

it is a giant pyramid shape made out of smooth stone decked with gold at each of the corners of the pyramid leading up to the tip.
History
After the Angellonians had conquered the world "The Divine One" had commanded them to build the temple. 500 years later the philosophers from the tribe of '' would cause the people to revolt against the priesthood and attempted a coup trying to establish a new monarchy and attempted to eliminate their religion. they nearly destroyed the temple until "The Divine One" came and caused fire to rain down upon them killing all of the revolutionaries. 4,000 years after that the Vildok Empire had made a direct attack on the Angellonian home world, entering into the temple stealing many of the ancient holy texts and scrolls and attempted to burn the temple to the ground but then they were all captured and executed, which then later they repaired the temple again.

Whenever the four moons turn blue, the four corners of the pyramid glow a bright blue color from the light reflecting.
