The second set of nostrils in the middle are for smelling pheromones of other creatures, such as predators. And the third at the top to smell for water and food. they have four limbs and can stand on their hind legs to wrestle other males. their arms are mainly used for digging and grabbing food. they have large crests used to attract mates (Male or Female) and to show strength and dominance; the female crests are more curved and dull while the males have a more sharp and straight crest.

Ecology and Habitats

Dietary Needs and Habits

they eat grass and leaves found within their habitats. they have been known to prefer eating aquatic vegetation more so than other kinds of vegetation. females have pouches in their cheeks like squirrels to hold food in to bring back to their younglings.

Biological Cycle

they shed their fur every few months and that fur is good for clothes. they hibernate during the winter season by making giant burrows for themselves and their young (if any). Every summer season is when they begin to find a mate, first by shedding a majority of their fur so it is more darker like brown.
