Honorable duels
When an Angellonian feels that the current tribe father is not worthy of his position of power (because of lack of leadership, cowardice, weakness, greedy, traitorous or any other negative quality) the challenger would speak to the current tribe father and challenge them to a duel of power, and if the tribe father does not accept then it is most of the time seen as cowardice and weak. if he accepts then the two Angellonians would fight each other with their bare hands. Except for the Zhedakm they use any weapon they prefer and then kill of the defeated contester.
History
it began when the young warrior who would become the future general known as Kim'tapa would challenge "The General, Strong Branches" due to his lack of care for the well being of the people and allowing the deaths of over 5,000 Angellonians when a huge stampede of Oxiploti charged through an entire city. Kim'tapa won the duel forcing "Strong Branches" into exile for his defeat. this tradition would be adopted by the other tribes soon after as they saw it was fair for the people to lead if the current leader was not fit for the position of tribe father. the Zhedakarians would make a "small" (by small I mean major) change to their duels, where the victor would have to rip the head off of their opponent and then keep their skull and chosen weapon as trophies to show off their combat prowess and to deter future challengers. normally however, the victor of a duel is determined when the opponent becomes unconscious and or no longer able to fight (like their arm being broken or their legs being crippled).
Execution
it is a form of transition of power when a tribe father is not seen fit to lead, then a male (if they won) would then become the new tribe father after defeating the previous one in combat.
Components and tools
they use their bare hands and or other natural weapons (such as feet for kicking and their fangs for biting). But the Zhedakarians use their prefered weapon provided from the Zhedakarian armies armory that is not a ranged weapon like a bow or rifle.
Participants
The tribe father and the challenger. the commanders of that tribe and the fathers or eldest son would attend to watch the duel with an audience of attending Angellonians that decide to show up.
Observance
they can take place a week later or even at the very moment a challenge is declared at any time or at any place.
