The Battle For Steerbright

The Battle for Steerbright was a brutal 40-year conflict between the Orcs and the Dwarves over control of the rich and rugged lands of Steerbright. The Orcs, driven by a fierce desire to have new land to call home after being displaced by the darkness of The Crown, launched a relentless campaign against the Dwarven people, who had established strongholds in the region. The Dwarves, renowned for their strength and resourcefulness, fought valiantly to defend their lands. However, their secluded nature had left them with few allies in The Ancient Reach, and the overwhelming numbers and unyielding determination of the Orcs gradually wore them down. The Dwarven fortresses, once thought impregnable, fell one by one under the relentless assault.   The battle was marked by numerous skirmishes, sieges, and bloody confrontations, with both sides suffering heavy losses. Despite their superior craftsmanship and defensive tactics, the Dwarves could not withstand the sheer force of the Orcish hordes. Isolated and outnumbered, they were eventually driven from Steerbright, forced to abandon their homes and seek refuge in distant lands.   The victory of the Orcs in the Battle for Steerbright marked a significant shift in the balance of power in The Ancient Reach, as the Orcs established their dominance over the region, solidifying Steerbright as their new homeland. The Dwarves, though defeated, vowed to one day reclaim what was lost, a promise that would echo through the ages.
