The Fall of Lumispire and the Exodus of the Elves
Lumispire, once the radiant heart of Elven civilization, stood as a beacon of magic and beauty in the northeastern region of Cappadocia, bordering The Ancient Reach. Ruled by King Elenion Starleaf, father of Aranethil, it was a place where the magic of the Elves reached its zenith. The kingdom’s gleaming spires, which shimmered under the stars, symbolized the Elves' mastery of the arcane and their deep connection to nature.
Under King Elenion’s wise rule, Lumispire flourished. Its cities were interwoven with the natural world, and the forests that surrounded them thrived with the same magic that flowed through the veins of its people. The kingdom was a sanctuary of peace, where the Elves lived in harmony with the land.
However, that peace was shattered when the dark elves, driven by a deep grudge against their high elven kin, launched a devastating assault on Lumispire. The dark elves were empowered by the full, unbroken force of the Crown, a powerful and cursed artifact wielded by the Wraith Lords, the dark entities that sought to dominate all who opposed them. The Wraith Lords, seeing the immense magical potential of Lumispire, unleashed their dark kin to claim it for themselves.
This assault was swift and merciless. The dark elves, corrupted by the Crown’s malevolent magic, stormed Lumispire with unrelenting fury. Armed with dark sorcery and monstrous forces summoned by the Wraith Lords, they tore through the kingdom’s defenses. The radiant forests withered under the onslaught, and the once-vibrant cities fell into shadow.
King Elenion led his people in a fierce defense, his magic battling the twisted power of the Wraith Lords. But the Crown’s influence was too great, and the dark elves, empowered by its full might, began to overwhelm even the most powerful of the Elves. The once-proud spires of Lumispire were reduced to ruins, their brilliance snuffed out by the encroaching darkness.
With Lumispire on the verge of complete destruction, King Elenion made the heartbreaking decision to evacuate his people. Knowing the dark elves would show no mercy, he led his kin on a perilous journey to the neighboring lands, hoping to preserve their heritage.
They lived a nomadic life for 2 years before reaching the uninhabited lands of Mountainrun, where they would rebuild their shattered lives. Though Lumispire had fallen, its memory and the spirit of the Elves lived on. The once-glorious kingdom of Lumispire, now abandoned and in ruins, stood as a horrific reminder of the unstoppable power of the Crown.
