Eucarpia

Eucarpia is a moon orbiting the planet of Konon in the Illiós system. About half the radius of earth and about a quarter of its mass, the moon is notable for being largely covered in deep oceans, many of whom reach down below 20.000 feet. 90% of the moon's surface is water, with the remaining 10% consisting of rocky islands, with a extra-terrestrial form of moss covering most of the land, having supplanted all other life on land.

The Oceans

Yet it is within its oceans that the true depths of Eucarpia's exobiological variety present themselves, as many types of unique aquatic creatures roam the waters. From swimming vertibrae, fish and most importantly molusc-adjacent animals, the latter of which have formed themselves as the top of the food chain.

Climate

Eucarpia was tidally locked to its star with a north-south polar orbit around its parent planet. Due to this, the climate on the planet follows a quite unique model, typical to tidally locked planetary bodies.
