Sea Moor

The tors of central Wexe are just about as far away from the sea as it is possible to be in the Wexen Isles. Topped by heaths with a distinctive and unusual azure hue, the sight of the deep blue heather rippling in the wind is said to be reminiscent of swells upon the sea.   The blue heather here is unique to the tors. If a heather plant is transplanted elsewhere, it will revert to its common pink hue.   It is believed by some that the given name "Seymour" is a corruption of "Sea Moor", though there is little evidence to support this.
