Quantum Entanglement

Using Quantum Entanglement, a phenomenon where two identical particles can be 'linked' and thereafter will vibrate identically regardless of intervening distance, Omega Systems has set up vast communication arrays throughout Human Space. This facilitates instantaneous communication, the SolarNet, and mass media even to the most remote consumers. 

Voodoo Goo

A genius once referred to Quantum Entanglement as 'Spooky Behavior,' and he wasn't wrong. Entanglement Bombs, so called 'voodoo goo' is a substance intended for use by remote health monitors but this project was scrapped due to odd behaviors. Now, it's mainly used by criminals and terrorists. Voodoo goo comes in two 'sticks.' One is somehow inserted pressed against an intended victim (or into their food, beverage, etc.) and released. The nanites force their way inside the bloodstream through nanotears and begin arranging themselves throughout a body, much like a dose of Splatter Nanites. Unlike Splatter Nanites, Voodoo goo simply links the victim's body to the nanites in the other stick. This can be injected into a person, linking the fate of two people together until the nanites self terminate, or it can be injected into a prepared facsimile of a human body, linking the person to the object. Depending on the dose, the possible effects of this are anything from distracting discoomfort to a gruesome and mysterious death. A popular tactic of the Three Suns Paradisio is to use them to cause spontaneous human combustion by throwing the doll into a fire, thereby exciting the entangled particles in the victim and causing a friction fire to break out all at once.

The Transmat Rings

Omega Systems also manufactures the Transmat Rings, though they don't control them. They've been looking to expand this extremely lucrative contract, and have an eye on the Space Rush as a means of opening up new avenues for humanity to pay them. After all... if they're the ones making the replacement parts, that's a revenue stream that can only keep growing.
