Moeb's Early Life

Herbert Moeb's path to becoming the self-proclaimed ruler of Infinite Herbert was forged in his early years. Born into a wealthy family, Moeb was instilled with a strong sense of independence and entrepreneurial spirit. He demonstrated exceptional business acumen from a young age, building a vast fortune through shrewd investments and strategic risk-taking. Moeb's fascination with advanced technologies, particularly Cloning and gigafactoring, drove him to explore unconventional ventures. His eccentricities and iconoclastic views often put him at odds with the Pan-Solar Consortium's establishment, setting the stage for his future endeavors.  

Founding and Independence

Herbert Moeb's vision for Infinite Herbert began taking shape through a combination of legitimate and extralegal means. He established a bulk Cloning facility on Autonoe, leveraging his vast resources to bypass regulatory hurdles. Moeb's clones were then rented out to various corporations and government agencies under false names, generating revenue and gathering valuable intelligence. A breakthrough came when he discovered a defunct Gigafactorum, which his clones reclaimed and reassembled on Autonoe. With this technology, Moeb created a self-sustaining ecosystem, including a military, provincial government, and agricultural system. Infinite Herbert was born, and Moeb declared independence from the Pan-Solar Consortium.  

Negotiated Usefulness

Diplomatic negotiations with the PSC transformed Infinite Herbert's status from rogue entity to a tolerated oddity. Moeb agreed to pay taxes and fulfill citizen obligations in exchange for essential resources – Clonefeed and carbon – necessary to sustain his operations. PSC diplomats framed these agreements as diplomatic treaties, maintaining the facade of Infinite Herbert's independence. This arrangement benefits both parties: Moeb maintains his autonomous fantasies, while the PSC gains a convenient outlet for dealing with pirate elements and other threats. Moreover, Infinite Herbert's allure as a target for Criminal organizations has become a curious asset, allowing the PSC to contain and eliminate potential threats at minimal cost. For now, Moeb's independence remains tolerated, secured by his usefulness to the PSC.
